INSPIRED LIVES
The Bible Ends With Hope
Well, I went and wrote a book!
This one's filed under Christian theology.
It’s a chapter-by-chapter commentary on the book of Revelation
that traces each of the symbols used in John’s vision back to their
origins in the Old Testament and person of Jesus.
It highlights how the vision John received is a message of defiant
hope that was sent to encourage the persecuted church.
It isn’t about end times, one-world governments, anti-Christs or
social and economic collapse…it is about who Jesus really is.
The book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible that reveals the
fully glorified, risen, ascended Jesus who is ruling and reigning at
the right hand of the Father. This is why it is the Bible’s last book.
Without it we don’t have the full picture of who Jesus really is, what
he achieved and what he is doing now.
It’s a message that gave the first-century church the courage to face down the full might of the Roman Empire, knowing that, just like Babylon of old, their time had come and the King of Kings was about to bring justice and judgment and freedom. So what might that mean for you and I? Dive in and find out - and along the way we'll tackle topics like hell, fire, judgement, the number of the beast and more.
You do not need to be a theologian to grasp the blessing in these pages - remember, the gospel began with fishermen, carpenters, and outcasts. It’s a message of hope and life that is meant to give us the courage to live with a gracious, but defiant, hope despite our circumstances. The book is available from Kindle, Amazon's print-to-order system (more affordable for those outside NZ), and directly from Carl. Use the links below to order a copy.
